“Was not their mistake once more bred of the life of slavery that they had been living?—a life which was always looking upon everything, except mankind, animate and inanimate—‘nature,’ as people used to call it—as one thing, and mankind as another, it was natural to people thinking in this way, that they should try to make ‘nature’ their slave, since they thought ‘nature’ was something outside them” — William Morris

Essay's Argument

...it's about War of the Worlds, Victorian philosophy, speculative realism and the deadlocks thereof (of certain forms of it), which are also the deadlocks of modernity.

It's me trying to work out Dark Ecology. I have this thing where I want to write it in one take in at most 10 days. So I keep doing these dry runs for it.

So far since last Monday I've written about 150 pages of stuff. When I actually write Dark Ecology in a bit, it won't be any longer (30 000 words).

6300 words is about 32 pages of the childishly enormous typeface I like to use.
